Now available in Michigan (!!!!!!), Evil Twin Brewing Company will take over five taps tonight at IFAD, with Yin Imperial Stout, Yang Imperial IPA, Hipster pale ale, Molotov Cocktail Triple IPA and Justin Blabaer Blueberry Berliner Weisse. Cans of Hipster and Bikini Beer 2.5% IPA also available.
Pop-Up Restaurant to Benefit the Children's Center, Midtown, December 13

[EID EVENTS] Repeal Day through New Year's Eve
There are plenty of boozing opportunities all throughout the holiday season, but don't forget about the shopping: the Holiday Marketplace at Campus Martius, Holiday Merriment at Ponyride, and the Signal-Return Holiday Party and Market are all going on this weekend with more next weekend. Celebrate the 80th anniversary of Repeal Day at the Sugar House with live music, door prizes, and dranks.
The Speakeasy Project Party at Tommy's Detroit Bar, Detroit, December 5
Also coincident with the 80th anniversary of Repeal Day, Preservation Detroit is unveiling the results of their research and archeological dig on the historic building at 624 Third Street - now Tommy's Bar - built in the mid-1800s and serving as a number of different businesses over the years, including a speakeasy.

Thanksgiving Eve at Atwater Brewery, Downtown, November 27
Don't you love it when places are all, "Oh hey, update to this event that we never actually announced prior to this update!" Oh, Atwater. So anyway their "update" (and first-ever announcement) was that their Thanksgiving Eve party will be at the original brewery on Joseph Campau on the Riverfront from 7 p.m. to midnight tonight, and there will be food and such.

Typo? Perhaps. Or perhaps the most accurate description of National Amateur Night possible. St. Cece's is having a songwriter hootenanny tonight and will have the fireplace roaring. Sounds perfectly civilized.

Dress in your wizardly best and allow the sorting hat to decide if you are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or (shudder) Slytherin. (There are only 25 seats per table so not everyone can be Gryffindor.) There will be house tables and house cups, butter beer, and readings from the Harry Potter books. Artisan Knitworks in downtown Farmington will also have knit kits available to make your own house scarves and earn your house extra points (okay, so houses will be sorted in advance). Tickets are $25.
